GILA Electric’s journey began in 1892 when Aldo Gila established a small trading company to serve as a local representative for international brands. It wasn’t, until 1975 that Al Tawakol acquired GILA Electric with a clear vision and an ambitious plan to expand the small company into an industry leader in the MENA region. The new brand, GILA Electric, started its trajectory by becoming an authorised distributor for the Merlin Gerin & Telemecanique brands in 1975.
